If you don’t have ReShade installed already, you can download the current version here: and when asked which packs you want to download select the ones listed above. If you have ReShade and the above packs installed already, download the file from the Patreon link below, then open the folder called ‘amoebae - The Moods ReShade Bin’ and drop the reshade-shaders folder and amoe - The Moods.ini file into your Bin folder and say yes if asked to overwrite anything. The Moods was made with ReShade 4.9.1 and requires shaders from the following shader packs (all of which are available to download when you install ReShade): You can find an album with example shots, as well as some interior and exterior comparisons of all 30 LUTs here: I definately recommend experimenting with those bells and whistles though!Įven though it is a lightweight preset, it’s doubtful you’ll want to use it during gameplay, and is perhaps one you’ll prefer to switch to for screenshots instead. This means The Moods is a lightweight preset, relying on only one shader for all the colour information - everything else is bells and whistles stuff that you can enable or disable as you want.

The remaining shaders deal with anti-aliasing, sharpening, ambient occlusion and indirect lighting, bloom, distance fog, depth of field blur, and film grain. The result is 30 (yes, thirty!) custom LUTs (all made by me!) contained in one MultiLUT shader that can be switched between to set the perfect scene.Īll the heavy lifting is done by the LUTs. Their brief was for a darker, moody, purple-toned preset that emphasised a wistful, dreamy look intended for screenshots rather than for gameplay.Īfter a lot of experimentation, I decided I couldn’t just settle on one specific look, and set to work creating lots and lots of LUTs, each with a different atmospheric and moody feel. This doesn’t mean you can’t still use ReShade, but you may need to use it purely for screenshots and turn it off while you’re actually playing. The Moods was made as a request by one of my lovely and very patient Patreon subscribers, Kay. (Here’s the laptop I use to play the sims 4 and it runs perfectly with all expansions, mods, cc, and ReShade.) I absolutely LOVE it and always have it in my game, but keep in mind that if you don’t have a higher-end computer or laptop, ReShade may cause your game to be laggy. You know how much we all love to take beautiful screenshots and videos of our gameplay. If you don’t already know, ReShade is this incredible FREE program that you can download to change the look of your favorite video games. Want to save this list? Click here to pin it!
